But the most certain way is to check the model number on the sticker inside the oven.Yeah, because that’s where the repair guy starts. If you get F10, the oven is overheating, though whether the heating element is stuck on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHlN-3yUROc or the control board is malfunctioning, I don’t know.I don’t run self-cleaning cycles because it can roast the control board, and you’re lucky if a reboot is enough to get it running again. The problem could be a damaged temperature sensor or loose wire to the temperature control, too.Fortunately, I haven’t seen that error.F11 is the error for the control board keyboard being shorted out. Reboot it, and if that doesn’t work, replace the control board and keypad.I think on my oven, the two are one big piece.F12 is an error for a faulty microprocessor error, while F13 is an error in the memory of the control board. In both cases, you try to clear it by rebooting, and replacing the control board if not.I hate how smart appliances are so advanced they need the same default tech support as my iPhone – if in doubt, reboot. The F30 error code means the temperature sensor probe is open.First check the wiring, then check the probe. And if necessary, switch to a meat thermometer instead of a sensor probe.F31 is the error for a shorted temperature sensor probe. You can check to see if its resistance is less than 500 ohms, because if it is, you have to replace the sensor. What if the resistance is above that level?

published, help is on its way! My Kenmore Elite Electric Range is showing a F10 error code. Report This by Manage My Life September 12th, 2012 My Kenmore Elite Electric Range is showing a F10 error code. I attempted a self-clean, left the house and returned to a beeping oven (locked oven door) and an ERR code, F10. I tried holding the STOP button and this will temporarily (30 sec) stop the beeping and code flashing but then it starts again. Also unplugged the oven, but the problem continues when I plug it back in. Share it! I found a link that will give you several considerations to address. You will also receive an expert response from our team in a day or two. I hope this helps you and have a nice evening. by Manage My Life September 12th, 2012 Answered in 7 minutes Comment Give your feedback by voting on answers 0 votes That link for a previous answer that Henry posted in the above response has some information about the F10 code on a built-in oven. Based on your description, that F10 code indicates the same thing on your electric range. The clock control board is probably detecting a "runaway" oven temperature (oven temperature that is out-of-range high). If the oven is at room temperature when you are seeing that code, then you could have a bad oven temperature sensor or a bad clock control board. A wire harness problem for the oven temperature sensor could also cause that code to be displayed. If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can unplug the range and check the resistance of that oven temperature sensor as described in that previous answer. The proper resistance of that oven temperature sensor should probably be around 1100 ohms. If that sensor is bad, then it will need to be replaced. You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Elite Range Parts . Use the full model number of your range to access the parts list diagram for your exact model. Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing and replacing internal components. If that sensor resistance is okay, then you can plug that sensor back into the harness and check the resistance of that entire sensor circuit from the clock control board in the console (with the range still unplugged ). The sensor circuit is normally connected to the control board through
