itself. I've sent across a few signals that will attempt to reset and refresh its connection on the network. This can take up to 20 minutes and you may see the box shut off and reset. Let me know if this helps! If not, we may need to work on replacing the box itself. Checked back again after 1/2 hour and the box was dead, nothing showing, power button had no effect. After 15 minutes, I unplugged power button and the error messages returned with e609 on startup - currently again showing D1 with the single led to the left moving in a circle. How long have you been noticing that? If it's been like that for more than an hour, there may be a problem. Can you try the following please?:1) Disconnect power cable from your PVR2) Unscrew coax cable as well from the PVR3) Wait 5-10 seconds, then reconnect coax cable4) Finally, reconnect the power cablePlease let me know if you're still unable to use your PVR!JeffLike • Show 0 Likes0 Actions martinal @ null on Apr 15, 2014 10:39 AMMark CorrectCorrect AnswerI talked to shaw technical support last night when this code appeared and did all "the following" to no avail....???Like • Show 0 Likes0 Actions [shaw]jeff @ null on Apr 15, 2014 10:45 AMMark CorrectCorrect AnswerI'd like to take a closer look and run some additional tests, can you check your Community Inbox please? Full Factory Reset on Motorola DCT 3416? Thread Tools 05-12-2008, 05:12 AM #1 gms001 Tech Manager Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: South Florida Age: 65 Posts: 2 Full Factory Reset on Motorola DCT 3416? I’m sure many of you are familiar with the method used to perform a “full factory reset” on Motorola DCTs in the 64xx series. In brief, it goes something like this: unplug the DCT, re-plug while holding down the Menu and Power buttons, display reads “boot,” press the Up arrow, display reads “n dl,” press Select, then wait 20 minutes while the unit downloads the latest firmware. WARNING: don’t try this if you have precious recordings saved on the DVR, you may lose them permanently. I’ve done this probably a dozen times for myself and friends without ever losing a recording, but I understand there IS a risk. I recently traded in my 6412 for a 3416. Sweet deal, since the 3416 has an additional 40GB of hard disk space for recordings, very handy if you record a lot of shows in high def. Unfortunately, the reset method above doesn’t work on the 3416. I can get to the “boot” display as before, but pressing the Up or Down arrows produces two choices; “disp” and “diag” Selecting either of these lets you scrool through and change the display settings or check diagnostic data (such as your signal-to-noise ratio) right on the DCT front panel display without the need of a TV being attached. Useful enough I suppose if your box is not putting out any visible signal, but nowhere have I found the “n dl” display option that starts the firmware reload. So to make a long story slightly longer, does anyone know how to make the 3416 download firmware like the 64xx? I’ll be eternally grateful for any help...! 06-23-2008, 10:50 AM #2 skarfer What is HD?
