I've run into a problem, it may be something simple that I just don't have the experience with the camera to recognize. It started this morning, I was shooting and the shutter failed to actuate. I it would focus fine, but I could not trip the shutter. The frames area of the viewfinder instead of showing a changed frame, showed "r14," when I would press the shutter all the way down.I changed batteries and shot a few frames normally. That battery went dead, so I waited until my good battery was charged again. The problem came back. For a while, it would focus fine, I just couldn't get it to trip the shutter. Battery was showing full charge. Then the message in the frame counter changed to "r00" and now it no longer focuses as well as doesn't actuate the shutter. And this is with a fully-charged known good battery.I've tried different lenses, just to eliminate that as a source of the problem, they all are the same. I've done the "2-finger reset." But, it remains that I can't focus or trip the shutter. I'm hoping that it is a setting I just don't know about (like the error caused by an aperture ring being set wrong).Any ideas? So is your card full? Also when you fill the buffer or the card the camera will NOT take a picture until the buffer clears or you put in another memory card. This is a design feature so you will not lose any shots. -- Skip Teschendorf WSSA member#62 Reply Reply with quote Complain Solomon OP • Senior Member • Posts: 1,859 Re: Help Please: D1X Problem In reply to skip tesch • Nov 27, 2006 Thanks, Skip! While that doesn't solve it, it certainly points me in the right direction.
