Sep 10, https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3544895 2013 I have a D800 that has suddenly begun giving me an FEE error when i attach either of my two D lenses (AF Nikkor 24mmD and my Sigma 24-70 2.8) with aperture rings. The lenses are seated properly. Everything has been cleaned and there is no visible physical damage on either the bodies or the lens. There have been no drops or error codes bumps to the body or lenses. I brought my 24mm to work and placed it on my D700 and it works just fine. So I am concluding that it may be an electronic issue with the D800. Is there anything i can try to resolve this issue aside from sending the D800 in for repair? ANSWER: This question has not been answered yet. nikon d1x fee Reply to thread Reply with quote Complain Luis Ortega • New Member • Posts: 16 Re: D800 FEE error with aperture lenses. In reply to superkilly • Sep 10, 2013 I imagine that you know to turn the aperture ring to the correct fstop so it engages with the camera electronics? Other than that, maybe you got some dirty contacts. Reply Reply with quote Complain superkilly OP • New Member • Posts: 3 Re: D800 FEE error with aperture lenses. In reply to Luis Ortega • Sep 10, 2013 Yes. All the settings are correct and the camera and lens contacts have been cleaned. In reply to superkilly • Sep 10, 2013 I believe that error occurs when the manual aperture ring is set to the wrong setting and not locked. I've had it occur with a Nikon 80-400mm lens on a D800E, and just had to turn the manual ring to 32 and lock it. -- hide signature --- Gr
