of the camera in the lcd came the blinking message ERR. normally this would mean that somehow the camera slipped into an aperture nikon d90 error codes other than the one needed by the camera. I checked and all seemed to be in order. i fired a few more shots, and it fired very slowly at all modes with the err message surfacing and

nothing but a black playback screen. i've scanned the book but it only refers to err as being a need to check the aperture on the lens. I've switched lenses, switched batteries, did a two-button reset, and changed cards, none was successful in alleviating the problem.has anyone else had this problem? I have events coming up this weekend, and i will shoot the d2hs, but in truth, once you get used to shooting with nikon d7000 error codes the d3, nothing else will suffice. Nikon has moved from torrance to further up in the LA area. So unless i can call them and get a remedy over the phone or if one of you has a "fix" i will drive up this morning and see what they can do.Nikon, that's a $5k camera we're talking about. i know some quality issues are going to slip through, but i'm not interested in that. i'm only interested in kinowing what Nikon will do to rectify the situation now that they are aware of it. Geez, i would be so happy if Nikon or someone on this forum would say, Ron, you dumb s...t, it's an easy fix. did you check such and such. do it and problem solved. Any takers???? Or is it happening right now and your search has brought you to this article? Well, either way, I recently needed to find more info on these codes myself and decided to put all the info I found in one place. So here is a quick guide to what those codes generally mean, along with a couple of simple solutions to hopefully get you back up and running. f EE If you only use G type lenses you'll never see this error message as it indicates the aperture ring is not set to the minimum aperture. Between the two of them, they have two Nikkor 400 2.8s, and three Nikon D3 cameras (not D3s). About a year ago, they started noticing an "ERR" message using this lens/camera combination. The contacts have been cleaned, both guys (Matt Kryger and Alan Petersime) are nikon d3 error tech/gear savvy, and they are at a loss as to what the problem could be. No problems with any other lenses they have. All cameras have had at least one firmware change. Two of the bodies and both lenses have been sent to Nikon for servicing, and they couldn't replicate the problem. Anybody experience this? This post is:Informative (0) | Funny (0) | Huh? In my case if I put a little too much pressure on the body it was enough to decouple the lens from the body. The mount on the lens was A LITTLE weak and thus any torque or pressure was enough to stress the connection. You may be able to tighten the screws on the lens mount. In my case I had to use a cable release for a weekend until the lens could be looked at. This pos
