Perhaps it is not quite set properly where it is.Also . . . wipe all metal contacts with a soft cloth . . . the new camera will be shipped with a protective coating on the metal contacts and their may be some film residue there preventing proper contact.Regards, Van Griff Van Griff's gear list:Van Griff's gear list Nikon D700 Nikon D7000 Nikon AF-S Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF Nikon AF Nikkor 105mm f/2D DC Nikon AF Nikkor 135mm f/2D DC +28 more Reply Reply with quote Complain jamiesmithnc OP • New Member • Posts: 5 Re: fEE Error on nikon d7000, aperture ring is already locked In reply to Van Griff • Feb 19, 2011 I tried cleaning the contacts (on both the body & the lens), and futzing with the aperture ring. When I have the aperture setting on the lens to 22 I can take photos. But when I change the dial to anything other than 22(lowest f/stop) then I get a flashing fEE message and r09 where the number of exposure left is. I don't have the manual for this lens but am just wondering if anyone knows what the issue is here.
