Are you using a distribution profile or development profile? share|improve this answer answered Oct 27 '10 at 9:07 jithinroy 1,4671220 thanks for the advice. It didn't work when I was using a distribution profile, but it worked fine after switching to a dev profile. –nsantorello Apr 29 '11 at 21:06 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote accepted OK... I get the error only with Release builds, but not debug builds. Also, check on jailbreaks. I've had those errors with jailbreaks. –John Smith Aug 4 '10 at 19:22 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote This usually happens when there is another instance of the app already running/hung in the background. Unplugging the device and replugging it in will usually do it, otherwise resetting the device and quitting/restarting XCode will fix it. share|improve this answer answered Jul 1 '10 at 6:50 Domestic Cat 1,181817 add a comment| up vote 1 down vote This happens from time to time. Quit the Sim/restart device (make sure you kill any multi tasking apps). Then restart Xcode and you should be set. share|improve this answer answered Dec 6 '10 at 8:11 Sam Jarman 3,453114285 add a comment| Not the answer you're looking for? Browse other qu

No project settings were changed (I don't even use the debugger, just error from the console), and the only thing that I've done in the mean time is a software update. The only thing new from that was a Java update, which I don't think should have had anything to do with it. I was having the same problem even building new blank projects, but I've since updated to 3.2.4 and reset the Xcode preferences, which at least got the blank projects going again.I've compared some error from debugger of the settings between projects that work and projects that don't, but I have no idea what to look for. The built applications will run when double-clicked by themselves, just not in Xcode.Update: zipping the project files and then unzipping them seems to fix the issue, but I would like to know what to look for that could have caused this problem. Title Debugging your program Author Shannon Driver, StataCorp One of the most useful tools in Stata for debugging programs is set trace. By default, set trace is turned off. To use it, simply type . set trace on and run the program again. You will see lots of output, as Stata will display each line from each ado-file that it runs. If the program you are debugging is giving you an error message and exiting, the error message will appear in the trace output after the last line that Stata attempted to execute. Because you know which line is causing the error, you may immediately recognize what is wrong, and then make a change to your program. If you cannot immediately recognize what is wrong, you might be interested in customizing the trace output with any of the six trace control commands: set tracedepth, set traceexpand, set tracesep, set traceindent, set tracenumber, and set tracehilite. Their default values are set tracedepth 32,000 set traceexpand on set tracesep on set traceindent on set tracenumber off set tracehilite "" If your trace settings are all set to the default values, you will see each line that was executed preceded by a single dash. If an executed line contains any macros, local or glo
