Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by gardar, May 24, 2007. gardar Member Joined: May 14, 2007 Messages: 7 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 I just registered a .is domain, the domain registrar needed my server to have the domain configured on my server before I could register it, cPanel didn't allow me to park or add the domain as it didn't have my nameservers, so I logged into whm and added a dns zone. Afer I added the dns zone I was able to register the domain... but of course the domain just pointed to thw root of my server but not where I would like to park it. So I deleted the dns zone but now I can't park the domain. I get this error message when I try to park the domain: Error from park wrapper: mydomain.is is already configured.Click to expand... Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Do I need to remove something else than the dns zone? Thanks #1 gardar, May 24, 2007 WebScHoLaR Well-Known Member Joined: Dec 14, 2005 Messages: 511 Likes Received: 1 Trophy Points: 18 Location: Planet Earth If you have already deleted the DNS zone file then make sure that the domain's entry is not present in httpd.conf file. Also to be on the safe hand, verify that the DNS zone file is properly deleted i.e entry has been removed from /etc/named.conf and DNS zone file has been removed from /var/named directory. is already setup (remove it from httpd.conf) - How to solve If you're administrating a Cpanel server and you come across an error message while trying to use cpanel's domain addon menu and you want to fix that you will need to do the following logged in as root over an ssh connection: 1. Remove dns related stuff in /var/named and /var/named/cache cpanel:~# rm -f /var/named/mydomain.com.dbcpanel:~# rm -f /var/named/cache/mydomain.com.db 2. Edit https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/error-from-park-wrapper-domain-is-already-configured.66633/ the current used httpd.conf on the server and remove all virtualhost domain definitions cpanel:~# vim /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
# find the mydomain.com Virtualhost definitions and completely remove them 3. Remove any domain occurance in /var/cpanel/users cpanel:~# cd /var/cpanel/users/
cpanel:/var/cpanel/users# grep -rli 'mydomain.com' *
/var/cpanel/users/hipo
cpanel:~# vim /var/cpanel/users/hipo
# remove in above file http://www.pc-freak.net/blog/error-from-park-wrapper-mydomain-com-is-already-configured-sorry-that-domain-is-already-setup-remove-it-from-httpd-conf/ any domain related entries 3. Remove anything related to mydomain.com in /etc/userdomains and /etc/localdomains cpanel:~# vim /etc/userdomains
cpanel:~# vim /etc/localdomains
# again look inside the two files and remove the occuring entries 4. Edit /etc/named.conf and remove any definitions of mydomain.com cpanel:~# vim /etc/named.conf
# in above file remove DNS configuration for mydomain.com 5. Run /scripts/updateuserdomains cpanel:~# /scripts/updateuserdomains 6. Delete any valias configurations cpanel:~# rm -f /etc/valiases/mydomain.com
cpanel:~# rm -f /etc/vdomainaliases/mydomain.com
cpanel:~# rm -f/etc/vfilters/mydomain.com 7. Remove any occurance of mydomain.com in the user directory which experiences the Error from park wrapper: error Let's say the user testuser is experiencing the error, in that case you will have to remove: cpanel:~# rm -rf /home/testuser/public_html/mydomain.com 8. Restart Cpanel This step is optional though I think it's also a good practice as it will at least restart the Cpanel webserver (Apache or Litespeed depending on your conf) cpanel:~# /etc/init.d/cpanel restart Now try to add up the domain via the Cpanel

OS: Linux Red Hat 5 Control Panel: CPanel Our customer lately error from park complained to us about parked domain. He parked a domain domain.name but the problem is that i can't find that an entry for that domain. I mean its not in "Parked Domains" where i ussually find normally created domains. When i attempt to recreate a parked domain, it says that Error from park wrapper: domain.name is already configured. And whenever i make a query http://domain.name:2086/scripts2/unp...in=domain.name it says that Unable to find out which user owns the parked domain domain.name. However the domain seem to work correctly. Whenever i visit it in browser i see a preconfigured message "Server Online" What could the problem be and how to fix it? If any files is listing it, remove from that file. grep parked_domain /usr/local/apac
