Error Getting Remote Server Information Wsp
Hi, one of all Servers responds in the SolidCP Overview with "Error getting remote server information". It was a WSP Installation which i updated to SolidCP 1.0.1 and now to 1.0.3 Interesting part is, the http://localip:9003 URL ist working with Status "running". I found nothing in the log files. The only thing i found was an old Thread: https://websitepanel-support.com/question/error-getting-remote-server-information/ I want to try to reset the password, in the Portal this is easy, how i reset the password on the not working server? qmex-mp answered 17 - 06 - 2016 Comment(0) 2 answers ActiveVotedNewestOldest 0 Marco Tiggelaar 3.52K Rep. Posted 17 - 06 - 2016 Hello, It is indeed 2 reasons why it can show this: not properly updated (so it's not 1.0.3) Password in web.config isn't correct. If you installed SolidCP using the SolidCP Installer: Open up the installer -> (start -> SolidCP Installer ) click on SolidCP Server -> and click on "Settings" Click next untill it asks to reset the password. If you manually updated: The most easy way is to check the backup file of the web.config -> view the password value and copy it over identicaly to the current web.config. Alternatively you can use another servers password value from the web.config then update it in the portal (or directly copy over the value in the mssql database under the dbo.servers ) Regards, Marco Marco Tiggelaar answered 17 - 06 - 2016 Comment(0) 0 qmex-mp 27 Rep. The fix however: In some cases IIS has Filter rules, caching rules, and alike, for the WebsitePanel Server it's recommended to turn it off. If turned off the only thing left to check https://websitepanel-support.com/question/error-getting-remote-server-information/ is the connection url + password being correct. (you can reset them with the Installer -> click on the WSP Server component -> settings and follow the steps).
