"Error getting clipboard data"I click on Ok, it prompts me with another error2. "There is not enough memory or resources to complete operation. Close some programs, then try again"It's less prone to happen when I use alt-printscreen instead of normal printscreen and indeed when I have have less windows/apps open, and doesn't happen at all with my second monitor disabled. It didn't happen a few months ago ( yes I've been having this problem since December) and I took at least hundred of 2560x1280 print screens even with 30 windows open no problems before that time.I've found the question on loads of Google results but nobody has had an answer except for disabling the 2nd screen or creating a new user account ( all people experiencing the problem are running dual screens, happens to both ATI and NVIDIA users). Also found it on this :http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microso...Q_23211321.htmlBut obv. I can't see the reply as you need to pay for it .Anybody knows how to fix my problem, copying anything else ( eg. text, files, etc) is always fine?Xp pro 32bit...
 Snowdog 0 0 2 posts May 16, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Anyone?Or does anyone know anyone that may know the reply? I can't find a free way of getting in contact with some Microsoft guy that knows a bit about the OS ?
 RJARRRPCGP 3 3 1,217 posts April 14, 2005 OS: XP Pro x64 Country: Posted May 22, 2008 The second error usually is caused by disabling the swapfile (also known as pagefile) with limited RAM capacity. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other site

not be forgotten and hopefully be fixed soon. DHCP04.06.2007, 04:47 AMI've been following this thread since day 1, and I too have the exact same problem. IV was my #1 choice for working with screencaptures (something I do quite often) due to it's small size and fast startup, but now I must resort to Paint.net. I'd love to go back to IV but until this printscreen-paste issue is resolved I cannot. My experiences are exactly that of RichieB and others, so no need to go into details...I'd like to skip to my proposed solution. Apologies for sounding pretentious, but I recommend that the designer(s) of IV completely tear down and rewrite the section of code that deals with copying and pasting into and from the application. I have a feeling that this section of code might not have been examined since the early versions, and as we know much has changed in the windows environment since IV first came out! Again, I don't mean to appear ungrateful for such a fantastic piece of software, but I really really want to see this fixed. Unfortunately, I don't think the problem can be reasonably solved by asking the end-user to do something like uninstall MS office or buy more memory. The fact remains, that whenever I (and others) get this message while trying to paste a screencapture into IV, I can immediately open up another piece of software and paste the image with no problem. neilgrant07.06.2007, 06:35 AMHi Laurent (if you are still watching). I tried your suggestion of checking the behavioiur of ohter non-MS applications. So I loaded a copy of Micrografx Picture Publisher which is a graphics editing application like Photoshop and is certainly capable of pasting screen dumps into it. Guess what! The problem IV suffers was also suffered by Picture Publisher. So to be clear, when I could no longer paste into IV, I could no longer paste into Picture Publisher. So it seems MS products can handle wha
