response to tufelhundin Level 2 (360 points) Feb 4, 2013 7:36 PM in response to tufelhundin Try right clicking the iTunes install file and choose "Run as administrator".If that option is not available, log in as an administrator and install iTunes. I tried the "run as administrator" option. It gave the same type of error, only difference being that "Apple Software Update 2.1.3.127" is replaced by "Apple Application Support 2.1.9". As for the other option, the account I am working in is the only account. It is the administrator account. They were both great ideas. Thanks for taking a stab at it. I am figuring out what doesn't work and that is better than nothing at all.tufelhundinSoCal Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by polydorus, polydorus Feb 5, 2013 2:11 AM in response to tufelhundin Level 6 (11,971 points) Feb 5, 2013 2:11 AM in response to tufelhundin I am not sure, but I think it is worth trying to fix with the Microsft Installer cleanup utility.Unfortunately the Microsoft Installer Cleanup utility has been withdrawn by Microsoft because of compatibility issues with Microsoft Office so you will need to find a copy elsewhere - the installer is msicuu2.exe. You need version 3. Google msicuu2.exe download
