a partition outside the disk! after resizing Windows RaggyladAugust 31st, 2014, 08:36 PMOver on the 'Package System Broken' thread we have come up with and intersting error message in terminal: Error: Can't have a partition outside the disk! after resizing Windows before starting a fresh dual boot install of 14.04.1. The link to the relevant bit is onwards from here (starting at #190 on page 19) : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2238992&page=19 (Only read back if you wan't the back history of unsuccessful attempts to repair a weirdly damaged install of 12.04 !) Gparted shows the following: 256014 and we get the following from " sudo parted -l": ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo parted -l Model: ATA MD01200-AVDW-RO (scsi) Disk /dev/sda: 120GB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: msdos Number Start End Size Type File system Flags 1 1049kB 67.9GB 67.9GB primary ntfs boot Error: Can't have a partition outside the disk! and this from "sudo fdisk -lu": ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo fdisk -lu Disk /dev/sda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders, total 234441648 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x2bd2c32a Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 2048 132592559 66295256 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT I'm being given great assistance by @Kansasnoob and @Bashing-om, but we really want to crack this error before we procede with the fresh install. Very grateful for any help or advice that can be offered. EDIT: Have now deleted code that reflected the presence of an external second (250 GB) HD - this was a red herring; the error message has been occurring without the external drive connected. nadrachAugust 31st, 2014, 09:10 PMNot sure if I am reading this right, but as far as I remember, on a dual (or multi) boo
MattesMutualInformationImageToImageMetric(0x1db9020): Joint PDF summed to zero Next message: [Insight-users] Description: itk::ERROR: MattesMutualInformationImageToImageMetric(0x1db9020): Joint PDF summed to zero Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] Hi John, The .mhd extensions are not required. However, ITK expects "some" extension in the filename, since the IO factory uses the filename extension to select the actual ImageIO class that will be used for saving the file. It is interesting (and maybe suspicious) that the image is appearing flipped when you turn off the https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-2242245.html meta data dictionary. You may want to double check on what is the correct behavior, specially if you are developing code for clinical purposes. What program are you using as a Image Viewer for verifying the orientation of the images ? Please let us know, Thanks Luis ---------------------------------------------- On Fri, Oct 9, 2009 at 12:40 http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/insight-users/2009-October/032982.html PM, John Drozd

OPINIONToday we consider the voluntariness of a confession given by Tymond Preston, an intellectually disabled eighteen-year-old. To error loading 256_124.drv elicit this confession, the police, among other tactics, repeatedly presented Preston with the choice of confessing to a heinous crime or to a less heinous crime; rejected his denials of guilt; instructed him on the responses they would accept; and fed him the details of the crime to which they wanted him to confess. Under the totality of the circumstances, including Preston's intellectual disability, we conclude that the confession that resulted from this questioning was involuntarily given and should not have been admitted at trial.IBackgroundA. The AccusationAt the time of the underlying events, Tymond Preston was eighteen years old. Preston has an IQ of sixty-five, which the Supreme Court recognizes as within the range of intellectual disability.1 See Atkins v. Virginia, 536 U.S. 304, 309 n.5 (2002) (describing an IQ below seventy-five as within the range of mental retardation).2 He attended special education classes beginning in elementary school, and did so until he dropped out of high school. Preston's mother said that a doctor told her that Preston had a “small brain, like a five-year-old.” Psychological evaluations conducted during the course of this litigation show that Preston has “exceptionally limited linguistic ability,” and “significant problems with verbal communicati
