It's been happening for a couple of weeks. Thanks Calli Calli, Mar 26, 2009 #1 Phantom010 Trusted Advisor Joined: Mar 9, 2009 Messages: 34,572 Do you have a Dell printer? Sounds like a driver problem. Go to the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs. Remove the Dell printer (?) and restart. After the restart, Windows will reinstall the printer. Just keep clicking Next until the Hardware wizard finishes and you will be set.. Whenever you install again, you can tell Windows to install the drivers from the disk. Simply put the disk in and close anything that pops up. Restart Windows and you will immediately get the Found New Hardware wizard. Click Next and then tell it you want to search removable storage. Windows will search that CD and find the necessary drivers required to install the printer. Then you are done.
