However, I have a few that are about 2 gig (1.99 GB (2,147,483,238 bytes)), and when I try and load them into GM (Version 9) , I get this error. "Unable to load grid. ArcBinaryGridFile.cpp - 719 Build Time: Apr 30 2008 10:25:22" I have tried to load the file into an older version of GM (Version 7), and got the same error, with a different line number. "Unable to load grid. ArcBinaryGridFile.cpp - 367" I got these data from the USGS. They are 1/3 arc second NEDs. Any ideas? 0 Comments global_mapper Administrator BMG Staff Posts: 17,238 ✭✭✭ August 2008 edited August 2008 Is it possible for you to point me at where I can download one of these files so that I can give it a try? You can upload the data set to ftp.globalmapper.com using a username of 'upload' and a password of 'upload' if the file isn't already somewhere that is easily downloadable. Try PAL, ARC, or CNT rather than "layer_name". gdal.org/drv_avcbin.html (Also, for sanity purposes please confirm that it's not a raster ADF according to the notes on that page). –mdsumner Sep 15 '15 at 22:08 It is in fact a raster file 'hdr.adf', that was the problem. Thanks –Thomas McGregor Sep 16 '15 at 17:48 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote Turns out that the file was indeed a raster file 'hdr.adf'. The python script iface.addRasterLayer(fileName, rasterName) worked share|improve this answer edited Sep 17 '15 at 10:44 Joseph 26.3k62783 answered Sep 16 '15 at 17:50 Thomas McGregor 212 add a comment| Your Answer draft sa
