Did you need to mannually register the file also? Cancel dcdorsey777 26 Jun 2012 2:14 PM I just ran into the same problem on Windows 7, running MAS90 version 4.5. The suggestion to copy crpe32.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 worked. I did not need to manually register it. Actually, I tried but regsvr32 crpe32.dll gave an error message about no entry points being present. It still fixed the problem, though. What I wonder is if this is just a step that got left out of the MAS90 installation, or if there is something in my system that is wiping out crpe32.dll. It seems weird that the same problem is persisting a year after this original thread. Cancel david_E 10 Dec 2012 5:42 AM I just migrated from 4.3 to 4.5 and had the same problem on my Windows 7 64 bit machines, but only when printing Payroll Checks. I moved crpe32.dll to the ssyWOW64 folder and it worked.Install must be missing this step OR you need to right clic

are installing our VDF14.1 application with the CRW XI Runtime (on a windows terminalserver): 1) We started with a clean vdf14.1 client runtime installation, without any crystal report runtime files (and we copied our app with the Bitmaps, Data, Help and Programs folders) 2) Then we installed the crystal report XI runtime into the folder C:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Business Objects\3.0 (we used the program installer2go to make the installer package) 3) Then we copied the crystal report XI connectivity kit files into our workspace programs folder The versions of the connectivity kit dll's are: apidll.dll = 2.10.0.0 crdb_p2pdfapi.dll = 11.0.0.2150 crpe32.dll = 11.0.0.2301 crpe32_res_en.dll = 11.0.0.2301 p2bdfapi.dll = 11.0.0.69 4) When we start our vdf14.1 app, the following happens: The reports started from a cCrystal object are working. The reports started from a CrystalReport object don't work -> "unable to load dll. crpe32.dll" We looked into the windows/system32 folder and found an old crpe32.dll. Some other program, that also uses crystal reports, installed it into this folder. What can we do now? (for testing, we renamed the crpe32.dll in windows/system32, but this didn't help) Christoph Arnold Pelos GmbH Hans van de Laar14-May-2009, 02:36 AMHi Cristoph, You are messing up 2 different access methods to Crystal reports. If you install the Crystal XI runtime merge modules on the client you are accessing the reports by using COM (RDC). In that case you have to use the cCrystal class within your application. If you want to use the (old) CrystalReport class then you will have to deploy the Crystal api runtime modules which is a different set of dll's. Using the RDC method is the preferred way to go. charnold14-May-2009, 02:55 AMHello Hans, The vdf 2008 help says: "If your application is still using the Print Engine API (crpe32.dll) interface (through the CrystalReports class), besides installing the Crystal Reports RDC runtime and the Connectivity Kit runtime files, you also need to install two additional Crystal Reports runtime files into your application's Programs folder: crpe32.dll .and crpe32_res_en.dll." So installing the RDC runtime + the two crpe files should be enough to use the new cCrystal class and the old CrystalReport class in the same application. The problem seems to be, that the crpe32.dll can't be found or loaded (but why?). Dennis Piccioni14-May-2009, 02:28 PMHi Christoph, it looks like that sentence needs to b
