Upon trying to deploy my first driver I encounter this error when I try to start the service: System error 1275 has occurred. This driver has been blocked from loading I am error loading driver using Windows Driver Kit Version 7.1.0. Tried to build the .sys file for /386 and /ia64 architectures. Tried to sign both files with a self-signed certificate. Finally disabled the signature checking (F8 during boot-up and selected "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement") and tried with both signed and unsigned driver. Still getting the same error. Any ideas what could be done? The driver is being loaded by the service control manager but the error appears when I actually try to run net start MyDriver. Update: Signing is done using the command: Signtool sign /v /s PrivateCertStore /n MyCert /t http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timestamp.dll driver.sys i.e. I use an embedded signature. Also the MyCert certificate is from the Trusted Root Certification Authorities certificate repository (available certificates can be seen by executing Ctrl+R, certmgr.msc) windows-7 drivers share|improve this question edited Aug 18 '13 at 16:57 asked Aug 18 '13 at 16:21 Eugen 106114 Just making sure, whatever is deploying the driver is running as admin, right? –Frank Aug 18 '13 at 19:59 Yes. Download NowWinThruster 2015 - Scan your PC for handle.exe registry errors Compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP and 2000 Overview of Handle.exe What Is Handle.exe? Handle.exe is a type of EXE file associated with Sysinternals Handle developed by Biz Secure Labs Pvt. Ltd. (India) for the Windows Operating System. The latest known version of Handle.exe is 3.3, which was produced for Windows. This EXE file carries a popularity rating of 1 stars and a security rating of "UNKNOWN". What Are EXE Files? EXE ("executable") files, such as handle.exe, are files that contain step-by-step instructions that a computer follows to carry out a function. When you "double-click" an EXE file, your computer automatically executes these instructions designed by a software developer (eg. Biz Secure Labs Pvt. Ltd. (India)) to run a program (eg. Sysinternals Handle) on your PC.Every software application on your PC uses an executable file - your web browser, word processor, spreadsheet program, etc. - making it one of the most useful kinds of files in the Windows operating system. Without executable files like handle.exe, you wouldn't be able to use any programs on your PC. Why Do I Have EXE Errors? Because of their usefulness and ubiquity, EXE files are commonly used as a method of delivery for virus / malware infection. Often, viruses will be disguised as a benign EXE file (such as handle.exe) and distributed through SPAM email or malicious websites, which can then infect your computer when executed (eg. when you double-click the EXE file). In addition, viruses can infect, replace, or corrupt existing EXE files, which can then lead to error messages when Sysinternals Handle or related programs are executed. Thus, any executable files that you download to your PC should be scanned for viruses before opening - even if you think it is from a reputable source. When Do EXE Errors Occur? EXE errors, such as those associated with handle.exe, most often occur during computer startup, program startup, or while trying to use a specific function in your program (eg. printing).
