I reinstalled Windows 98 SE for probably the 10th time now. Booted it up this morning - no problem. Started the installation of Office 2000 - went without a hitch. Restarted the computer and got the GDI.exe error. The fonts folder c:\windows\fonts is corrupted or missing. !?!?!!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?! Ran scandisk - scandisk says http://discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?113506-Error-Loading-GDI-exe it repaired the problems. GDI.exe error again. I've built plenty of computers before.. I have never ever seen these errors. It's completely frustraiting. Any help that you could offer would be appreciated. I'm in the process of reformatting the drive AGAIN!!!
