I ran into the libpangoxft-problem, downloaded the supplied files under /sw/lib.. and ran into the version-probem (version is 602, required 1.02 or above). So I assume this happens to everybody currently trying to install Ff on Leopard. So what I did was link the required dylibs from /sw/lib/ manually to the respective files provided by the pango-package of MacPorts. The files are located under /opt/local/lib/. Fortunately only 9 files have to be linked: libpangoxft-1.0.0.dylib libpangoft2-1.0.0.dylib libpango-1.0.0.dylib libgobject-2.0.0.dylib libgmodule-2.0.0.dylib libglib-2.0.0.dylib libpng12.0.dylib libpng12.0.dylib libtiff.3.dylib So after moving the relevant files in the /sw/lib/folder to a backuplocation, I did something like sudo ln -s /opt/local/lib/libpangoxft-1.0.0.2203.0.dylib /sw/lib/ libpangoxft-1.0.0.dylib for each of them. It might be even easier to simply link the sw/lib- folder to /opt/local/lib, but I didn't try this. After that I do get a pango-related warning/error-message: (process:43800): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GDEF table 0x6EAD (process:43800): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GSUB table 0x6EAD (process:43800): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GPOS table 0x6EAD (process:43800): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GDEF table 0x6EAD (process:43800): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GSUB table 0x6EAD (process:43800): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GPOS table 0x6EAD but FontForge starts and allows me to do what
