It can't be the hard drives because it happens even with my brand new hard drive. If the drive I'm using boots perfectly and I clone it to another drive, surely they are both exactly the same. So why will the newly cloned drive not boot? AlekseyM Product Expert Messages: 195 Well, looks like ALL my VMs get the error loading operating system since I've loaded Parallels 11. Anyone have any ideas? Going to downgrade I guess, hopefully it didn't corrupt everything. AlekseyM, Aug 19, 2015 #1 Sylvester@Parallels Parallels Support Messages: 372 Best Answer Just to sum up the workaround: Make sure your VM is stopped. Click on Actions > Configure >Hardware > Hard disk > Advanced Settings > Location and change it to IDE 1:0 or 1:1 from SATA and then restart your virtual machine. See this article for complete details. Sylvester@Parallels, Aug 31, 2015 #15 AlekseyM Product Expert Messages: 195 Installed Parallels 10 and it works again. Why won't 11 load my operating systems? I am running Win10 on both Virtual Machines. Checked boot order. Removed & added HDD. Nothing works AlekseyM, Aug 19, 2015 #2 Francis Millecam Bit Poster Messages: 1 I have the same issue.
