Error Loading Operating System Dell
Messages: 4 I am running a Windows XP VM. I have a working snapshot in which everytime I load it Windows attempts to run a system update and restart. However, every time I allow Windows to restart I get the message "Error loading operating system" error loading operating system linux I have tried to follow the instructions here: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=21402 But when I startup from the Windows XP cdrom, and attempt to login to the recovery console, I get the message "CDBOOT: couldn't find NTLDR" Any advice? two7s_clash, Oct 21, 2008 #1 John@Parallels Messages: 6,450 I suppose it is manually created CD try following http://www.msfn.org/board/CDBOOT-Couldn-t-find-NTL-t63728.html John@Parallels, Oct 22, 2008 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) system zzgus July 2013 After restoring an image to a bootcamp partition I get
Vmware Error Loading Operating System
a "error loading operating system" I have seen that I don't have any windows drive on system preferences/startup disc (I don't know error loading operating system xp fix if it's this name as I have the OS in spanish) but I can choose it when I press ALT when system starts.Any idea of what to do next?I have an 2009 imac 27" without superdrive https://forum.parallels.com/threads/error-loading-operating-system.30522/ (SSD on superdrive + HD 1TB) and Apple don't want to install windows using usb cd/dvd or usb stick. Russell July 2013 Was the image created from the same Mac and drive? If not, it will be necessary to run Sysprep before creating the image. If you do not have access to the original source Boot Camp partition, send an email to support@twocanoes.com and we will try to find a solution. Vern July http://sidecar.twocanoes.com/forums/index.php?p=/discussion/531/error-loading-operating-system/p1 2013 If you have a partition that ISN'T sysprep'd and you DON'T have access to the original system, the best way I know to effect a sysprep on an image is a little complicated.First restore the image to an external hard drive (or any harddrive big enough, but I'd use a Thunderbolt drive for max speed)Then using a different Windows machine, backup the restored drive using Acronis Home 2013 and the Universal Restore option.Once you have the Acronis image, restore the image back to the same drive you just imaged. Use the Universal Restore option, (the universal restore effectively runs a sort of sysprep during the restore process) Russell July 2013 An easier method might be to start up the restored Boot Camp using a virtual machine like Parallels, VirtualBox or VMWare Fusion. Since the device drivers are abstracted from hardware, the startup process does not fail due to driver mismatches. Now run Sysprep, shut down the vm and start up Boot Camp normally. This method is useful if you do not want to (or can't) run Sysprep on the original source Windows installation. AKS December 2013 This is not working, Parallels shows an error, no operating system installed...And the "error loading operating system" after restore shows although Windows is restored on the same Mac... dadioh December
Parallels Desktop won't start my operatingsystem From a reader: My Parallels Desktop program got messed up and https://macsolvers.wordpress.com/2014/04/20/parallels-desktop-wont-start-my-operating-system/ keeps displaying the same error without giving me the chance to run Windows 7. I can't get beyond this popup error: "The virtual machine was restarted. The virtual machine processor was reset by the operating system." What can I do to fix this? My response What version of Parallels are you running? For instance, error loading if it's 9.0, the latest version, try doing a reinstall and be sure to download the latest patch. If you have the original installer, run that. If not and you're running either version 8 or 9, log onto Parallels to download the appropriate disk image file. http://www.parallels.com/downloads/desktop/ If you're running a version prior error loading operating to 8.0, contact Parallels support for assistance. http://www.parallels.com/support/phone/ Like this:Like Loading...
