I am trying to install it on my new 64gb SSD, it has nothing on it. looked through some of the previous forums but most of theirs have been because they have already got windows already installed on it. Then it should work fine. There you'll see the word "quiet splash". Remove this and insert "nomodeset". Hope that helps you. If you can't boot anything -- not even a USB drive or CD -- you may need to configure the boot order in your BIOS. If this doesn't help, there may be a hardware problem with your computer. Check if You Can Access the GRUB Boot Loader RELATED ARTICLEGRUB2 101: How to Access and Use Your Linux Distribution's Boot Loader The first thing to check is whether you can access the GRUB2 boot loader. Boot your computer while holding the Shift key. If you see a menu with a list of operating systems appear, you've accessed the GRUB boot loader.
