Step 4: When the CHKDSK scanning completes, it will show you the current status of your scanned drive. After that just type "Exit" and then press "Enter", your computer will restart. The key to do this can be F1, F2,esc or Del key a second or two after power up. The splash screen should tell you what key to press to enter the bios also. You need to do one or two things. A. Set the boot order of devices, in what we call the boot list. 1. CD/DVD rom drive. 2. New hard drive. You may also have to change the interface used. There will be an option in the bios that sets the modes. Sata or Ahci. If the mode is set to sata change it to Ahci mode. Save the settings before exiting the bios.
