I think the download suggested in the link should help. The only problem is that I can't connect to the internet with my laptop. I ran the troubleshooter, and it told me to use the device manager to https://forums.techguy.org/threads/error-loading-powerprof-dll.228528/ check to see if the COM port is enabled, but there is no com port listed, only an LPT port. Thanks again for the help. Marcus75, May 13, 2004 #4 This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies. I'm not sure how to go about fixing it, but at a guess would suggest you firstly go to Start > Run > type in MSCONFIG click on the startup tab and then remove all refernces to office and any that pertain to the error message you are getting, secondly uninstall office, thirdly get a good registry cleaning utility, Toniarts Easycleaner(http://www.saunalahti.fi/ tonihele/ecleane.htm) would be the one I recommend, clean out your registry and then reinstall office.
