Neither of them will work, I can install if I bypass the system tests, but once the game starts running I get sound sometimes, and it freezes up before any graphics display. (I know the game starts out black with just audio playing, but cant get farther than that.) any suggestions? I've tried running it in windows 95 compatability mode, but nothing helps. Maybe someone out there can give me a hand. dpisacane Re: Can I make LSL7 run in win xp? #1 [-] Posts: 1 Jun 8 03 6:00 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Here is a post I found on another message board explaining how to do it. Probably an error, unless it is indeed a MS DOS game. I would go to http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/188332-trouble-installing-game-error the games site and see if they have installation advice. There are other sites with info, also. First thing is to try 'compatibility mode' and set for W95 or W98. (Right click on the file and select properties. You should see a listing for compatibility.) You can try this, might work. Anyway,,after the install/update of "8.1", things went a bit whacky and I had to uninstall the theme, this was a problem as uninstalling the theme wiped out my whole GUI, "all the screen was gone, nothing", so I did the reinstall/rollback type of thing and got back my GUI=windows screen. * Now I keep getting an error at start up, modernuistartscreen "Resource 10000 not found". I keep thinking this is a reg entry that the OS cant find, as I'm no registry mechanic, I was wondering if anyone has a fix for this, as I would like to not turn error reporting off just to stop that message. I don't use the laptop all that much, but when I do this start up error is an small annoyance. whitecrow, #1 2013/12/30 James Martin Geek Member Joined: 2003/05/15 Messages: 2,398 Likes Received: 73 Trophy Points: 493 Location: North Carolina Computer Experience: e-Machine mechanic Found this online...
