Reported by Ran.Laser@appoxee.com on 2013-04-04 07:46:50 Selenium member lukeis commented Mar 4, 2016 I'm getting a similar error message when I start the IDE: Failed to load user-extensions.js! files=C:\Documents and Settings\testermark\My Documents\Selenium Extensions\Data Driven\datadriven_v0.2\datadriven.js lineNumber=37 error=ReferenceError: XML is not defined It's occurring on two different systems; this one that is running Win XP, and my other one with Win 7. Selenium version:1.10 OS: Windows XP/Windows 7 Browser: Firefox Browser version: 20.0 For me the problem began after Firefox upgraded from v19.02 to v20.0. I'm going to try downgrading Firefox back to 19.02 to see if that solves the problem Reported by mark.ruby.selenium on 2013-04-04 13:17:58 lukeis self-assigned this Mar 4, 2016 lukeis added Type-Defect Priority-Medium Restrict-AddIssue

I'm trying to http://seleniumworks.blogspot.com/2014/01/selenium-ide-data-driven.html use the Global Extension . I have copied the globalStoreCommand user-extensions.js.sample file as user-extensions.js and added it in Options for Selenium IDE extensions as: C:\Program Files\selenium-core\core\scripts\user-extensions.js (Please note, I am +not+ using Core - I do not have access to error loading the server I am testing, I have just downloaded it for reference.) But when I open SIDE I get the error: error loading Selenium IDE extensions: ReferenceError: Selenium is not defined I saw another thread that said to fix this I should point to a bunch of Core js files in error loading selenium a specific order, but why doesn't this work now? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [hidden email] For additional commands, e-mail: [hidden email] Eleo-3 Reply | Threaded Open this post in threaded view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Re: Using Global extension in IDE? You should put your user-extensions.js file into Selenium Core Extensions field, not Selenium IDE Extensions. "Selenium IDE Extensions" field is mainly used to extend the recording behaviour of Selenium IDE. Thank you for that tip. So that got rid of the error, but StoreGlobal is still not working. ("Unknown command: 'storeGlobal'") Do extensions work at all with IDE?? I
