Linux (64 bit) pc. While trying to run the "seadas -em" command I get the following messageThe following error was encountered: CALL_EXTERNAL: Error loading sharable excutable symbol:idl_pid, File = /home/sarat/seadas6.2/build/lib/IDLshare.so /home/sarat/seadas6.2/build/lib/IDLshare.so:wrong ELF class:ELFCLASS64 Please consult the supplier of the application. Can anyone help me in this regard!Thank you By SeanBailey Date 2011-07-05 14:24 This error only occurs when you try to run a 64bit install on a 32bit machine. Are you certain the machine is running a 64bit OS?Sean By Sarat76 Date 2011-07-09 22:12 Thank you Sean,I found https://groups.google.com/d/topic/comp.lang.idl-pvwave/JqITuTAts4s that my PC is Linux x86 m32. Could you guide me how to reinstall SeaDAS again.I mean is there any step I should perform or skip while installing SeaDAS?Best,Sarat By SeanBailey Date 2011-07-10 14:01 Download the 32bit linux version and follow the installation instructions. You do not need to re-download or extract any of the installation/data files you previously installed (e.g. seadas_modisa.tar.gz; seadas_idl_rt.tar.gz).Extracting the seadas_linux.tar.gz file in your $SEADAS http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/forum/oceancolor/topic_show.pl?tid=4095 directory will overwrite the 64 bit versions you erroneously installed.Sean By Sarat76 Date 2011-07-10 21:30 Edited 2011-07-10 22:58 Thank you Sean,I have one more problem.I am unable to modify the content of .bashrc file.My old seadas folder is "seadas62" where as my new seadas folder is "seadas6.2".I am not able to change the .bashrc file so that it recognise seadas6.2 instead seadas62.I am not able to successfully do the step 9 of the installation instructions. I changed the path of .bashrc to new SeaDAS folder source /home/sarat/SeaDAS62/config/seadas.envbut after closing the vi editor it is still coming back to recognise the old folder "source /home/sarat/seadas62/config/seadas.env" !!Could you please guide.Sarat Topic SeaDAS / SeaDAS 6.x - General Questions / SeaDAS Error loading sharable executable (locked) Forum Announcements - Ocean Color Announcements - SeaDAS Announcements Frequently Asked Questions - General Forum Information - SeaDAS 7 FAQ - SeaDAS 6 FAQ - Data Products & Algorithms FAQ - Data Access FAQ Products and Algorithms - Satellite Data Products & Algorithms - Satellite Data Access - Field Data - SeaBASS SeaDAS - SeaDAS 7 - General Questions - SeaDAS 6.x - General Questions - SeaDAS 6.x Virtual Appliance for Windows - MODIS Direct Broadcast Support - Non-SeaDAS Packag

Symbol: IDL_Load, File = /Users/olsen/idllib/pgsql/pg_idl-mast er/pgsql_query.so dlopen(/Users/olsen/idllib/pgsql/pg_idl-master/pgsql_query.so, 1): image not found Seems pgsql_query.so should have been built by make, error loading sharable but wasn't. OBJFILES and SOFILES are defined in the Makefile, but as far as I can tell never used. Owner segasai commented Mar 23, 2016 But did it create the directory DLM? I've just tried it on linux (I am not a mac user, and don't have access to mac) with the most recent version of IDL and it did make the DLM directory with the .so and .dlm file: $ ls DLM pgsql_query.dlm pgsql_query.so Also the actual compilation of the pgsql_query library is done by IDL itself (last line of the Makefile). Did it actually run ? Here is what I am seeing when it runs echo "make_dll,['pgsql_query','pgsql_query_util'],'pgsql_query','IDL_Load',input_directory='./',extra_cflags='"-Ipostgresql-9.5.1/src/interfaces/libpq/ -Ipostgresql-9.5.1/src/include/"',extra_lflags='"postgresql-9.5.1/src/interfaces/libpq/libpq.a"',compile_directory='./',/show_all_output,output_directory='DLM'" | idl IDL Version 8.2.1 (linux x86_64 m64).
