This is normally due to the TCP/IP stacks in Windows being damaged or missing. Please take the following steps to check your TCP/IP settings in Windows. 1) Windows 95/98 Right click on Network Neighborhood and choose Properties. Under "The following network components are installed" you should have an entry for TCP/IP-> followed by your network card. If not, continue to step 3. Click on the Add button, select Protocol, Microsoft, TCP/IP. Add this protocol and reboot the machine. 2) Windows ME/2000/XP Right click on My Network Places and choose Properties. Select your connection from the list, right click and choose Properties again. Under the "Components checked are used by this connection" you should have "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" listed and a check in the box next to it. If it is not listed, proceed to step 4. Choose Install, Protocol, TCP/IP and install the protocol. Reboot when finshed. If TCP/IP is already listed in either case, uninstall it and then follow theOS specificsteps above to re-install it. Mit Version 9 wurde eingeführt, das der CLIENT32 Dienst so konfiguriert werden kann, dass er in einem sog. Multihomed Host, also einem Rechner, der mehr als eine Verbindung zu einem Netzwerk hat, nur eine bestimmte IP Adresse auf an Ihn gerichtete Anfragen überwacht. Der Netsupport Manager CLIENT ist möglicherweise an eine falsche IP-Adresse gebunden. Dies kann dadurch passieren, dass für eine bestehende und funktionierende Installation die IP-Adresse geändert und diese Änderung in der CLIENT Konfiguration nicht nachvollzogen wurde die Neuinstallation mit einer vorkonfigurierten CLIENT Konfigurationsdatei client32.ini durchgeführt wird, welche eine „falsche" IP-Adresse beinhaltet. mögliche Ursache #2: Die Fehlermeldung 10042 ist eine WinSock Fehlermeldung und besagt, dass beim Aufruf eine nicht unterstützte Option bzw.
