Solved Error Loading TWEAKUI.CPL Posted on 1999-06-19 Windows OS 1 Verified Solution 9 Comments 1,314 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-28 I loaded TWEAKUI on my system just to check it out. Unfortunately, my system administrator had disabled it so I couldn't check it out on this machine. I then needed to uninstall it. I could not find an uninstall program so I just did a search for TWEAKUI and deleted all folders containing this name. Now when I boot I get an error box. The blue title line reads RUNDLL and the message is "Error Loading TWEAKUI.CPL The system cannot find the file specified". Now I have two questions. 1. how do I delete the reference to this file so that I do not get this error message on boot? 2. What is the proper procedure to delete Tweakui? Please do not suggest that I reinstall it and use the proper uninstall procedure as I won't learn much by doing that. Thanks, You guys are better teachers than my teachers. If you had previously installed TweakUI I would suggest reinstalling it. Sounds like the program got messed up. Or on the flip-side you could go into the control panel>add/remove programs and try to uninstall it. That will also remove it from Startup.
