Error Loading the Tcp Mib library Posted on 2008-12-15 Wireless Networking Wireless Hardware 1 Verified Solution 2 Comments 3,280 Views Last Modified: 2013-11-12 I have read the solution on here and other web sites, but i don' t know what files to look for, how to look for them in the system folder, etc. Do i look in the System 32 folder or the system folder? How do i know which ones to delete/rename? I am trying to "add tcp/ip port" for a wireless printer that I just bought. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. 0 Question by:fawbbe01 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 3 Best Solution bymattdavey117 The ones in %SystemRoot%/System32 are the defaults and should work. The problem generally occurs if another version is in %SystemRoot%. These override the defaults and can cause problems. If you rename the problem .dlls in %SystemRoot%, the ones in %SystemRoot%/System32 should get loaded. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/261302 So, do the following: * Check to see if any of the following problem DLL files are present in C:\WINDOWS: Wsnmp32.dll, Ntprint.dll, Tcpmib.dll, Mgmtapi.dll, or Snmpapi.dll * If any of them are present, rename them. * Make sure that files with those names are present in C:\WINDOW

So i ended up renaming it to old. This has now allowed the spooler to start and stay https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26789009/error-loading-the-tcp-mib-library.html on. The problem i know get is error loading the tcp mib library. I have read sites that suggest i should have issues with network printers and should remove some dll's from the windows folder. but i don't have any network issues with printers. and don't have these files in the main windows folder. only in the system32, which is correct. all in all, it all works, but just get this little error appear on login. 0 Question by:total123 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 23 Best Solution byedbedb Okay, the easiest way to fix this is going to be to un-install the printer, restart the computer then re-install it. Guest Hi everybody, I enountered this problem when installing a new TCP/IP printer and found that a lot of people also have this error. The solution shown in MS KB Article Q261302 did not really work. http://www.printerforums.net/threads/problem-solved-error-loading-the-tcp-mib-library.30002/ By using Sysinternals FileMon and comparing against a working W2K server system I finally found the file which caused the problem (no idea from where I got it): snmpapi.dll The non-working version in c:\winnt was 4.0.1381.164 and the filesize was 25KB. After replacing it with the version 5.0.2195.6601 from c:\winnt\system32 (18K B), I was able to install a new TCP/IP printer again!!! I hope, this hint helps all of you with the same problem... error loading Martin Martin Runkel, Oct 27, 2003 #1 Advertisements Show Ignored Content Want to reply to this thread or ask your own question?
