Everything seemed fine, until this morning. An application that polls SAP isn'T wirking anymore. The < Uselsx "*RFC" > line gives http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/answer/Getting-error-loading-USE-or-USELSX-module-when-trying-to-open-an-NSF-file an error message : < Error loading USE or USELSX module : *RFC > The thing is, the developper who originally did it isn'T here anymore. The other dev and me (admin) are trying to figure it out, but I do not even know what "Uselsx" does exactly so I don't even know what to look for. I googled the thing a few times, but with no interresting results. Can anyone give us any pointer ? As http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllFlatWeb/b601196dbf51835d85257a0200503198?OpenDocument in "where to look"... and what could upgrading Domino have changed that could have had such an impact ? LO89151; Error loading USE or USELSX module: *LSXODBC; LS:DO; LotusScript; Data Object http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21984392 Technote (troubleshooting) Problem User gets "Error loading USE or USELSX module: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21171329 *LSXODBC" when opening a document in IBM Notes running on Mac OS X Symptom When opening a document, user gets following error: Cause Currently IBM Notes Client does not support running LSXODBC on Mac OS X. Environment Notes client 9.0.1 64-bit on error loading Mac OS X Yosemite version 10.10.4 Diagnosing the problem LS:DO classes can be used in LotusScript for retrieving data from an OBDC data source. To retrieve data from an OBDC data source, LotusScript must: 1. Create an ODBCConnection object and use it to connect to a database. 2. Create an ODBCQuery object, associate error loading use it with the connection object, and specify a query in the form of an SQL statement To access the LS:DO classes in LotusScript, developer must put the following statement in the (Options) event of the (Global) object or the agent: UseLSX "*LSXODBC" if the LotusScript Data Object(LS:DO) has been registered on Notes client machine, above statement and classes can be supported, LS:DO supports the OBDC Version 2.0 standard on multiple platforms, including Windows, OS/2, AIX and Solaris. Resolving the problem An enhancement request for support running LSXODBC on the Mac OS X has been submitted to Quality Engineering as SPR# YDAI7RDDGB. LotusScript Technote (FAQ) Question A customer has just upgraded from Notes R5 to the Notes/Domino 6.x Client and/or Designer, but when trying to compile or save the LotusScript that uses LCLSX, they receive the following error: "Error loading USE or USELSX module: *lsxlc" Answer This issue was reported to Quality Engineering; however, there are no plans to address it. Workaround: Prior to uninstalling anything, it is always advisable to back up all files. These files can always be removed later. If the user has already upgraded to 6.x, uninstall Notes/Domino 6.x, re-install it, and be sure to select the option to install Domino Enterprise Connection Services. Simply installing the missing .DLLs does not work. The error occurs because the customer elected not to install the Domino Enterprise Connection Services feature (in the Custom Setup Dialog of the Install Wizard) when upgrading from R5 to 6.x. When this option is not installed, necessary files for LEI are not installed, including the files that are required to write/modify for other external data sources.
