I've obtained an offline_access token that has "read_stream" and "publish_stream" permissions. define('FB_APIKEY', 'MY_APP_KEY'); define('FB_SECRET', 'MY_APP_SECRET'); define('FB_SESSION', 'MY_OFFLINE_TOKEN'); require_once('facebook.php'); try { $facebook = new Facebook(FB_APIKEY, FB_SECRET); $facebook->api_client->session_key = FB_SESSION; $attachment = array( 'message' => 'some meesgae', 'name' => 'This is my demo Facebook application!', 'caption' => "Caption of the Post", 'link' => 'mylink.com', 'description' => 'this is a description', 'actions' => array(array( 'name' => 'Get Search', 'link' => 'google.com' )) ); $result = $facebook->api('/me/feed?access_token=' . FB_SESSION, 'post', $attachment); var_dump($result); } catch(Exception $e) { echo $e; } When I run this, I get "OAuthException: Error validating application". I confirmed that my offline token is good. When I go to https://graph.facebook.com/me?access_token=[MY_OFFLINE_TOKEN], it returns my public profile in JSON format correctly. So, I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong with the API call somewhere but for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. I've been wrestling with this issue for the last two days. Could someone please help! :( facebook facebook-graph-api share|improve this question edited May 11 '11 at 1:56 Jim Rubenstein 5,46742246 asked May 11 '11 at 0:34 PFrank 203148 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 4 down vote accepted You don't have APP ID here. Reading user ids from list.txt and send them a video Posting video to user id: me {"error":{"type":"OAuthException","message":"Error validating application."}} I am getting the same error with an application which i created on a friends facebook account when trying to do the same thing. Does anyone have an idea why this is and what I can do to fix it? The api we are using is /me –user210504 Oct 2 '11 at 18:06 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote I started getting this problem for some of my users on my app recently. It was because my database field for storing oauth tokens was limited to 100 characters, which in the past has been long enough for facebook oauth tokens. Newer tokens are sometimes longer than that. I have traced the API URL the PHP SDK is calling and it does have an access token in. The PHP SDK errors with 'An active access token must be used...' and calling the URL it called manually results in 'Error validating application.' share|improve this answer answered Oct 2 '11 at 22:34 TESTERTHETHUMPER 1568 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Post are not posting to Facebook with the Ultimate Facebook plugin. We have used this plugin many, many times and this is the first time we are seeing this problem. The error log says: "OAuthException: Error validating application. Application has been deleted." All of the settings in the plugin have been verified. The App ID and Secret key are correct. The plugin was granted extended permissions and it is set to auto-publish posts to the appropriate Facebook page. We have tried uninstalling re-installing the plugin multiple times. We have also tried recreating the Facebook App. We are using Ultimate Facebook 2.0.1. We have another site on version 2.0 that is working. Could it be a bug with version 2.0.1? As this one seems the same as: https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/postautopost-to-facebook-fails-getting-application-has-been-deleted-error I think it best we try to keep this in one thread. So for now I'll mark this one resolved but don't worry as I mentioned just subscribe to the other thread where I have pinged the developer about this. Thanks.
