Event Id 7023 Server Service
because I can see that you guys are busy here. I have an the description for event id 7023 from source service control manager cannot be found error constantly show up in Event Log..It goes as follows... Event ID 7023 (The Application Management service terminated with the event id 7023 windows 10 following error: The specified module could not be found) I done a little research on the internet about it and came up with this> SYMPTOMS When you add or remove a program by https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/328213 using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, the following event may appear in the system log: Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event ID: 7023 Description: The Application Management Service terminated with the following error: The specified module could not be found. CAUSE The Application Management service is not supported in Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, and the Appmgmt.dll file is not included with Windows http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/same-error-multiplied-in-event-log.240808/ XP Home Edition. However, the registry setting that disables this service is not configured correctly in Windows XP Home Edition. Therefore, the Add Program routine tries to find the Appmgmt.dll file. When the Add Program routine cannot find the Appmgmt.dll file, the entry appears in the system log. Do you guys know if either I shouldn't be worried about constantly getting this error or whether there is a fix for it or not? Im in no hurry with this problem so tend to the other users first. Thanks. Source is Service Control Manager. The description is: The application Management Service terminated with following error---The specified module coould not be found. I am using IE6.0, Windows XP with SP2 update. All recommended windows updates installed except for IE7. In following up on the error, I found hot fix KB328213 (Microsoft has to send a link or something so it can be downloaded) but it will not work when SP2 is installed. I think it can be fixed by changing the value for Application Management in the registry. Tried e-mail to Microsoft, but got nowhere unless I agree to pay. Any solution or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
