the error code and starting on any code other than 0. Unfortunatyelyabout 30% of the time it fails as the spooler does actually stop running or does not throw an error code but causes an Application popup that the event log shows as: Event ID: 26 Application popup: spoolsv.exe - Application Error : The instruction at event id 26 delayed write failed "0x7c82c6e4" referenced memory at "0x00000003". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program Click on CANCEL to debug the program The instruction and memory location vary but the spooler does not terminate until OK is clicked on the App Popup. This actually causes a secondary and rather insidious problem when users log intoan affectedTerminal Server where the get a "grey screen" at the desktop that will only be corrceted by manually logging onto that server via a console session and clearing the application popup window. Is there some way of checking for this in a batch file and clearing the popup window so that the spooler can be started and avoid the need to manually clear the spooler problem?
