You’ll get this message from pretty much any Microsoft product, including Microsoft Office, Windows, and Internet Explorer. Previously I wrote about a way to fix https://forums.techguy.org/threads/outlook-xp-2002-crashes-on-launch-please-help.375546/ Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close error. In this article, I will go through several ways you can try to fix this same error for Microsoft Outlook! event id It may look something like this: AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.8010.0 AppStamp:232039e ModName: msmapi32.dll ModVer: 11.0.8002.0 ModStamp:32949d2 Microsoft outlook has encountered a problem. Unfortunately, fixing these errors is not very easy because there are multiple underlying issues that can generate the same error message! Therefore, you may see this error in Outlook only when you close the program or you may see it every time you try to check event id 1000 for new mail. Each of these has to be resolved in a different way! In this article, I will list out all the possible ways that I know for fixing this annoying error and hopefully one of them works for you. Method 1 – Install Windows and Office updates I’m going to start off with the easier tips before going into more technical solutions. Go ahead and install all the latest Windows updates and the latest Office updates. If you have Outlook with Business Contact Manager, make sure to install the service packs for that also. This probably won’t solve your issue, but it’s worth a shot. Method 2 – Delete and recreate email account Sometimes this error is related to the actual email account setup in Outlook. You can try to delete the email account by going to Tools and then Email Accounts or Account Settings. Click on the email account and then choose Remove or Delete. Now recreate the email account in Outlook and see if that resolves your issue. Method 3 – Start Outlook without add-ons Outlook add-ons can also cause this problem, so check to

Discussion in 'Business Applications' started by sanjay131, Jun 26, 2005. Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement sanjay131 Thread Starter Joined: Jun 26, 2005 Messages: 1 A couple of days ago my Outlook XP (2002) began crashing on start-up (after generally launching and running normally before). I installed Office XP Service Pack 3 in hope that this update would fix the problem however it didn't. On start-up, the following things occur: 1. The MS Outlook main window and introduction splash screen (i.e. large logo with user and product ID details, etc) is displayed as if Outlook is loading as normal 2. The main application window is white, i.e. with no actual program elements (folder list, preview pane, etc) displayed inside except the main toolbar ("File", "Edit", "View", etc). 3. After a short while (c.15-30 seconds) the application crashes and the "Restart Microsoft Outlook" and "Send Error Report" dialogue box is displayed. The Error Report contains the following error signature data: AppName: Outlook.exe AppVer: 10.0.6626.0 ModName: Outllib.dll ModVer: 10.0.6515.0 Offset: 0002d704 Outlook also failed to launch in "Safe Mode" and also after I deleted my default Outlook.pst and Outlook-Hotmail.pst files (made copies first so I didn't lose the data). I have spent the last couple of days trying to resolve this problem myself and checked several websites (including Microsoft) for any information that might help me but have found nothing. I urgently need to get my Outlook back up and running and access to the data contained in my PST file. I would appreciate any help you can offer in resolving this problem. Thanks for your help. sanjay131, Jun 26, 2005 #1 Sponsor JimiT Joined: Mar 15, 2001 Messages: 87 It sounds like safe mode didn't work? The next thing to try is to make a new profile for Outlook. If you go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, you'll find a "Mail" icon. Double click on that, then click the Show Profiles button. Next, click the Add button and follow the prompts. You'll need to know yo
