- General Discussion Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi All I am ese error 447 running Exchange 2003 SP2 in my lab and have error messages relating to database corruption on one of the esent database corruption stores. This will also help in my DR scenario for real life, so I thought I would throw this out to the experts... The database must be relatively minor since none of https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/810190 my test mailboxes have lost mails etc...but I was wondering what the best way to resolve this was: i) Restore database from tape ii) Run ESEUtil/ ISInteg iii) Create a new store, move users there, and then delete the old one Also: if we went for option (i) - would I need to replay the logs to get the latest data and prevent data https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/1ab6c6ed-8b67-4ec4-82ea-a2bc4b90ce73/exchange-database-corruption-questions?forum=exchangesvrgenerallegacy loss for the users. Which begs the question, what if I only noticed this a few days after it started occuring and the logs have been flushed? Thanks! ESE's B-tree Database Structure http://windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/20757/eses-b-tree-database-structure.html I would prefer method ii/iii in this perticuler case (A bad page link error (-327) has been detected in B-Tree) because even backup software doesn't detect this b-tree error. If you are on Enterprise edition of Exchange Server then create a new DB, move all mailboxes and delete old one. This doesn't require full Exchange service downtime also and only mailboxes which are being moved, will be affected... :) Amit Tank | MVP – Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com Proposed as answer by Mike Shen Monday, August 03, 2009 10:33 AM Marked as answer by Amit TankMVP Thursday, August 06, 2009 4:02 AM Thursday, July 30, 2009 9:01 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote 1>B-tree is basically logical database structure corruption that is why it is not de

Solved Exchange Restore - Bad Page Link Error Posted on 2007-01-26 Exchange 1 Verified Solution 8 Comments 1,505 Views Last Modified: 2008-09-05 One of my coworkers ran a standard virus scanner on our Exchange server during a recent virus scare. At about the time he did this, I started receiving Information Store (2520) First Storage Group: A bad page link (error -327) has been detected in a B-Tree (ObjectId: 328, PgnoRoot: 1385) of database C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb (1429 => 8512626, 1442). The night that this started happening, I dismounted the store and ran a restore from within BackupExec. Everything ran smoothly with the restore, and the database mounted just fine and started to replay the transaction logs. At that point, I started receiving these same messages again. I'm sure that the backup I have is good; I'm guessing that the damage happened to a transaction log file that I don't have a backup copy of. What is causing this behavior and how can I fix it? 0 Question by:timbrigham Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 5 Best Solution byNetminder Because the site requires a paid subscription to view the screencast, it is considered advertising, and no points may be awarded. Hi, First more info about the error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810190 Try restoring the database from an older backup – it is very possible that you are restoring from backup which is performed after the corruption occurred. It is a good idea to ExMerge the mailboxes in order to avoid loosing data. For configuring an account with permissions to run ExMerge you might find helpful the following video: http://www.netometer.net/video/tutorials/xmperm/index.php Dean 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 Message Author Comment by
