Comments: EventID.Net Usually this occurs when a PDC http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-8021-source-BROWSER-eventno-117-phase-1.htm has more than one netowrk card (multihomed) The following situations can cause this symptom: - Your computer network cards are linked to the same subnet. - Your computer network cards are not linked directly to the same subnet, but are linked indirectly through other subnets that they are connected to. - The master browser is using an incorrect subnet mask. See ME135404, ME224834 and ME176321 links. x 93 Matthew McEvoy If you have issues browsing your domain from the Microsoft Windows Network (you may get an error message "DOMAIN is not accessible) you might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The parameter is incorrect." I suggest you look the ME968389 update. Try uninstalling it and rebooting your server. The update is for Extended Protection for Authentication. x 1 Anonymous In my case I fixed the problem by just restarting the Netlogon service. x 96 Sergy You can try using the NetBIOS Browsing Console to troubleshoot this issue. See ME818092 for a complete description of this utility. x 91 Henrik Johansson This error occurred on one of our DHCP/WINS/DNS servers (Win2k) due to replacement of hardware (NIC card). After the replacement, Windows recognized a hidden NIC with the same IP configuration. The old NIC was not visible when showing hidden devices in device manager. After rem

Solved Server 2003 can't browse network (Event ID: 8021 & 8032) - Master Browser Posted on 2013-07-15 Windows Server 2003 Windows 7 Active Directory 8 Verified Solutions 33 Comments 3,740 event id Views Last Modified: 2013-08-07 Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 Server can't browse the network but can connect to a specific UNC path. If I "net view /domain:{domain_name}" I get "System error 87 has occurred". If I "net view \\{domain_controller}" I get the correct information. If I go to Entire Network in Windows Explorer and try browsing the domain I get "{domain_name} is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network event id 8021 resource." Other computers and servers are able to browse just fine. The problem is we have a computer outside of the domain in a workgroup that this server needs to be able to talk with for backups. It has been working for awhile then it just stopped. The only thing that changed was on the workgroup computer, which is Windows 7, it had an update turning on Windows Defender which was promptly removed and disabled. Upon investigating I noticed this server couldn't talk to anything else either so it can't be that alone. If I try to manually map the network drive for the share on this workgroup computer it prompts of the login but errors out saying "The drive could not be mapped because no network was found". It's also worth noting that this server does not even see the workgroup in the network. Other servers in the domain do see the workgroup and server via Windows Explorer in addition to net view and net use commands. Firewall is not on for either server. I tried resetting NetBIOS over TCP/IP settings to see if that made a change. Reset TCP/IP stack with no change. 0 Question by:DynamicQuest Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 19 Active today Best Solution bycompdigit44 Check out the suggestions in this
