Server General Forum Question 0 Sign in to vote I am attempting to resolve event id 137 ntfs non-retryable error windows 7 and NTFS error 137 "the default transaction resource manager on volume \\?\xyz encountered a non-retryable error and could not start." I have tried the

The data contains the error code. Source: Ntfs I've spent some time researching this issue, but can find nothing that seems to be of any relevance to my case. The registry has the following entries that relate to the volume to which the error refers: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Diskeeper Corporation\ExpressCache\Engines\Settings HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\Statistics\Volume{6044a626-6d6f-11e3-bbbe-806e6f6e6963}\\BytesPerCluster HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlS
