The Dfs Replication Service Is Stopping Communication With Partner Error 5014
We've noticed the backlogs on replications are growing and the following warnings are in both sites. The DFS Replication service event id 5014 dfsr server 2012 is stopping communication with partner SRV-DC-YKN-2 for replication group NCVC Fileserver Replication due to an error. The service will retry the connection periodically. Additional Information: Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)

Connection ID: 364BD0FE-B601-4255-95F9-61941E313755 Replication Group ID: 9A4BED7D-E76A-475B-BDC0-954E26463B53 It repeats every 7 minutes, re-establishes the connection, and repeats. 1) We have removed all instances of security and firewall interference 2) dfsrdiag shows no issues with replication between the sites 3) replication is full-mesh 4) topology testing using the console confirms everything is working 5) Our WAN bandwidth is definitely showing signs of replication 6) The diagnostics report shows event id 5014 error 9036 a few linked files which contain the "temporary" file attribute, not sure that it would cause the issue? 7) Connectivity between the two sites is through ipsec and we've seen no outages 8) During replication ping response times are below 60ms Any suggestions? After revising this to 1 hour, upgrading firmware to current ... the sessions kicked back in properly and the logs reported very few RPC errors. We've notice the backlogs are dropping and replication is restored.
