Error occures about 4-6 times per day. This is a Windows 2003 R2 system that's being used as a simple Folder Sharing server that has about 20 computers and no active directory (only workgroup). Overall, server is working well and this error message can only be viewed from Event Viewer, No errors or symptomps exit otherwise. Here's dfsr error event the exact error message: Event Type: Error Event Source: DFSR Event Category: None Event ID: 1202 Date: 11/4/2007 Time: 8:20:51 AM User: N/A Computer: 111SERVER Description: The DFS Replication service failed to contact domain controller to access configuration information. Replication is stopped. The service will try again during the next configuration polling cycle, which will occur in 60 minutes. This event can be caused by TCP/IP connectivity, firewall, Active Directory, or DNS issues. Additional Information: Error: 1355 (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.) For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I"m not sure if this error has any impact on the server, but it's annoying how it's occuring in the Event Viewer all the time.
