However it is hard to track down why this is event id happening, I have seen the workaroun which I am going to try but what caused this in the first place. I found a KB article on how to manually change the DSRM password to the same as the domain admin password however this appears to be a workaround. Should the DSRestore Filter be able to connect to the SAM server and if so why might it not be able to in this case. I would rather fix it than workaround it. We are running SBS 2003.
