Here's what I've done: 1) Ran MEMTEST v4 twice, NO errors 2) updated ALL drivers, from NIC, BIOS, video, to chipset 3) reinstalled XP but did NOT format Machine STILL crashes with BSODs. Before the reinstall I did see 'DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a 'PFN_LIST_CORRUPT', http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/xp-sp3-crashing-with-event-category-102-event-id-1003.145299/ both which appear to point to RAM problems. I even went back to use the original RAM chips but it continues to crash. Should I attach the .dmp files/crash log as well? Here are the 2 errors; the 2nd indicates Symantec Anti Virus is being disabled. I've been having a lot of problems with my system crashing lately and have been searching like crazy trying to find a reason. I'm not the most technically sound person but through my reading I have managed to: -Check all of my memory event id 1003 physically and with memtest, as outlined in the sticky post. -Update my drivers to the best of my knowledge and ability. -Disabled my onboard soundcard and the other stuff that the sticky post said to do. From another thread I learned how to run event viewer and that's where I found out that this error the one I'm actually having. Before seeing the event viewer all I knew about my problem was what the blue screen said: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears... (standard blue screen stuff) Technical information: *** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000E, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x00000000E) The Stop numbers seem to change sometimes, another recent one I saw that I wrote down was: 0x000000D1 (0x00000012, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x000000012) My Event Viewer event properties for one of the last crashes was: Event Type: Error Event Source: System Error Event Category: (102) Event ID: 1003 Date: 2/17/200

My friends computer was given to me to fix with a blue screen that read: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A problem has been detected IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Check to make sure hard/software is properly installed Disable newly installed hard/software Suggests disabling BIOS memory options such as caching and shadowing ***STOP:0x0000000A (0xDA56C92E, 0x00000001, 0x00000000, 0x80502BC0) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I started the computer in safe mode and uninstalled some questionable yahoo type games that she had on her system and ran Norton Anti-virus, PC Bug Doctor, NoAdware, CCleaner, Glary Registry Repair and fixed and deleted all of the appropriate results. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Checking the event viewer I fo
