Before you troubleshoot FRS problems, understand the following characteristics of multimaster file replication: Be aware of how changes made in replicated file areas, including the bulk reset of permissions or other file attributes by administrators or applications, can affect bandwidth. Any changes to the file system will eventually occur on all other members of the replication set. Do not try to speed up the process by making the same change on other FRS replication partners. This could result in data errors. If, after modifying a file, you notice that it has somehow reverted back to a previous version, another operator or application might be making changes in the same area, overwriting the earlier changes. In this case, try to

the domain and _msdcs forward lookup zones include all your domain controllers (and only their internal IP addresses) Manually trigger the domain controller replication connections through "Active Directory Sites and Services", expand the server, right click "NTDS Settings" and https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727056.aspx do "All Tasks" and then "Check Replication Topology". Make sure you click the Refresh button to see if all the replication links are listed. Use netdiag -v and dcdiag -v to isolate any other problems Keep restarting the Netlogon service 🙂 I really wish the DNS lookup that Active Directory did was a little more resilient (i.e. if the first DNS server lookup fails then use the secondary). FRS will keep retrying. Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning. [1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name \\SERVER0.DOMAIN.local from this computer.
