Some kb2963211 clients log on with temporary profile with error “User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded”. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.DETAIL - https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/asiasupp/2010/11/23/user-profile-cannot-be-loaded-with-event-id-1509-1504/ The filename or extension is too long. This can happen if the destination path of the users profile is on a server with a long server and sharename, e.g. \servernamethisistheprofileshare As the file is stored locally on "c:usersusername" the filename for copying to the destination will increase when this prefix is changed to "\servernamethisistheprofileshare" leading to a pathname longaer than the supported 260 chars. We found several resolutions, choose one of them will fix this issue: 1. You can use the " Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed " option in Internet Explorer to delete all cached Internet files when a user quits Internet Explorer. This option does not delete cookie information. Cookie information (which is usually small) is copied when the profile is saved. To us

Solved Roaming user profile not completely synchronized at logoff event id Posted on 2008-08-12 Windows Vista 2 Verified Solutions 6 Comments 19,401 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-27 My organization is planning a move to Vista w/ SP1, but we've encountered a problem with roaming user profiles. When a user logs out, they receive an error "Your roaming user profile was not completely synchronized. See the event log for details or contact administrator." event id 1509 The event log shows first that the user's registry is being unloaded (event ID 1530) and is followed by several errors copying profile content (event ID 1509). The errors read "Windows cannot copy file C:\Users\%username%\Searches to location %homeshare%\Profile.V2\Searches. This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights. Access denied." I then receive an error (event ID 1534) that reads "There are too many profile copy errors. Refer to the previous event for details. Windows will not log any additional copy errors for this copy process." That's concluded with event ID 1504, saying "Windows cannot update your roaming profile completely. Check previous events for more details." I have tried elevating the users to administrators on both the server containing profiles and on the local workstation, adjusted permissions on the share and folder containing the users profile to give ownership and full rights, even disabled Vista's network auto-tuning. No dice. Anyone know what network problems or security rights error 1509 may be referring to!? 0 Question by:stmadsen Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 9 Best Solutio
your roaming profile is not available, this typically means that the roaming profile might not be found in the expected place. 1) Make sure you have a good connection; 2) make sure you have shared roaming profile folder; 3) Make sure no DNS issue. If the roaming profile works for XP but Windows Vista/7, make sure you have two versions for each OS because Roaming Profiles between XP and Vista/7 are incompatible. You may need to create Version1 profile for XP and Version2 profile for Vista/7. If you keep each user profile separately, make sure you use %USERNAME% in the path to the roaming profile shared folder. If you receive Event ID 1504: Windows cannot update your roaming profile completely, make sure 1) You can connect to the DC; 2) the user sufficient permission on the user profile folder; 3) Check system logs for networking-related or DNS errors. Several problems or conflicts can occur in a roaming profile environment, which basically result in administrative questions. If you receive Event ID 1509 with message: Windows cannot copy file and This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights. Clients log on with temporary profile with error "User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded". This can happen if the destination path is longer than the supported 260 chars. If you receive "Windows cannot copy file. That could be 3rdparty security software, for example MacAfee. If the shortcuts on the Desktop dont work, that could be the current computer you log on has different set up in the same way, for example Microsoft Word shortcut point to C:\program files, but the word is install on D drive of the logon computer.
