After applying hotfix form KB948109 the reporting services fails to start and logs theses 2 entries to event viewer: ID 7000 The SQL Server Reporting Services (MS$DPM2007$) service failed to start due to https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756342(v=ws.10).aspx the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. and ID 7009 Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the SQL Server Reporting Services (MS$DPM2007$) service to connect. This happens even with a manual command for the service to start. This happened in 2 servers and if we uninstall the hotfix the service returns to normal.
