And, this is a real emergency. I https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/154690 have got to get this fixed or my goose is cooked (as in fired). I am in trouble here. I just got a Fox Pro database corruption. The SATA controller was giving me Event: 9 iaStor error out the nose, so I switched our controller from an "IATA89ENU v8.9.0.1023" (SATA) controller to a "Intel 82371AB/EB 5.2.3790.3959" (IDE/ATAPI) controller. It stopped https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/8478 the iaStor errors. But now I get the same Event:9 ATAPI errors. I HAVE TO STOP THESE ERRORS! Log files will follow shortly. Posted on 2004-02-17 Hardware Components 1 Verified Solution 8 Comments 61,304 Views Last Modified: 2011-08-18 Hi, having problems with Packard Bell PC. It freezes frequently and comes up with Event ID 9, 11 and 51 all indicating Atapi errors and timeouts while trying to contact the hard drive. Its intermittent and sometimes works ok for a while. It got so bad the other day that the machine would not boot and the windows/system folder got corrupted. Ended up doing a complete reinstall of Windows XP Professional (a different version than was already pre-installed before the blow up) Loaded all the Microsoft updates and latest versions of the drivers and the error message is starting to appear again in Event log. Last time it seemed to progressively get worse before not booting up at all so looks like the same is going to happen again. Packard Bell don't think its the Hard drive as all drive tests were OK.
