Random XP crashes with Event ID 1003, error code 100000d1 Want to Advertise Here? Solved Random XP crashes with Event ID 1003, error code 100000d1 Posted on 2006-04-25 Windows XP 1 Verified Solution 16 Comments 66,729 Views Last Modified: 2011-10-19 I've been getting random restarts (1-3 times per week) event id 1003 windows 7 of my Windows XP system with Event ID 1003 and error code 100000d1. In researching this problem a number of people listed bad RAM as a possibility, so I ran Memtest86 overnight with no errors reported. I followed the instructions in a previous post on this site and created a debuglog.txt file from the output of the minidump file with symbols. It is attached below. Any idea what my problem is? My system has been solid for years now, but lately I have been getting a few reboots within the last month. The latest occured during a download; the latest changes to my system were an addition of a hard drive (I also recently added an encrypted external FireWire drive, but was not using it when the http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/reboot-with-error-code-100000d1-event-id-1003.119462/ reboot occured). The last Event in the Event Manager reads: Error code 100000d1, parameter1 5e7a7878, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 baee9437. I typically find out what the problem is with my system, but this time the microsoft site didn't help and a google search with the above doesn't generate anything applicable to my system, so this one has me clueless. I am attaching the 3 minidumps I found (not sure if the PC rebooted with the same error on the 2 older ones, so just attaching in case it helps), so would appreciate it if somebody can look into these and provide me a clue as to why I am getting these reboots. In your case all three minidumps cite the driver vsdatant.sys as the problem. This is a Zone Alarm driver. I suggest either upgrading your drivers and/or go to their forums and read up on what ZA suggests. I hop

Been investigating this error for a few weeks now, trying various things, event id 1003 and mainly just "dealing" with it. However, too much is too much, so, looking for some help to narrow down the exact cause of the Stop Error and what can be done to resolve it.First of all, this is the error that I primarily see during Bootup. There have been a few times where the first Error Code is different (0x1000008E), but the main one is D1.Event Type: ErrorEvent Source: System ErrorEvent Category: (102)Event ID: 1003Date: 8/26/2008Time: 8:25:27 AMUser: N/AComputer: Description:Error code 100000d1, parameter1 00000002, parameter2 00000009, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000002.For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.Data:0000: 53 79 73 74 65 6d 20 45 System E0008: 72 72 6f 72 20 20 45 72 rror Er0010: 72 6f 72 20 63 6f 64 65 ror code0018: 20 31 30 30 30 30 30 64 100000d0020: 31 20 20 50 61 72 61 6d 1 Param0028: 65 74 65 72 73 20 30 30 eters 000030: 30 30 30 30 30 32 2c 20 000002, 0038: 30 30 30 30 30 30 30 39 000000090040: 2c 20 30 30 30 30 30 30 , 0000000048: 30 30 2c 20 30 30 30 30 00, 00000050: 30 30 30 32 0002 The symptoms are... Have you installed any new hardware recently? It could be something internal (such as a new PCI card) or external (such as an external HDD). Also, just a hunch but try also reinstalling your network card drivers or modem drivers (whichever you use to connect to the internet). red-wax AMD Athlon 64 3200+ | ASUS K8N-E Deluxe | G.Skill ZX 2*1024 PC3200 2-3-2-5 Gainward GeForce
