This is the error message that I receive. I've scanned the hard drive for bad sectors and https://www.windowsbbs.com/threads/system-error-category-102-event-id-1003.94887/ found none. I've done two different memory tests on the RAM and found no errors. Does anyone have an idea? Help Please. An I/O error may have occurred while the Registry event id 1003 was trying to read one of its files (caused by hardware or file system problems). This message might also appear due to a memory management error (more common in earlier versions of Windows NT). Go HERE and follow the instructions. If that doesn`t help. Zip 5 or 6 of your latest minidumps together and attach them here. Regards Howard   Mar 21, 2006 #2 dar TS Rookie Topic Starter Thanks for your reply.
