error in your even viewer? then you should check this kb from microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319127 i myself have https://reedone816.wordpress.com/2009/10/27/event-id-7022-server-service-hung-on-startup/ 7022 error of my oracle8iagent service, that cannot up automatically http://superuser.com/questions/357427/how-to-prevent-service-control-manager-hanging-at-start-of-windows-7 on startup, i must manually start it up on service console. beside that error, before that just two lines below, it was two 7023 error missing files and 7023 error boot manager error… so the steps i took are: i change the event id automatic startup to manual of the service pointed on 7023 error. and i open regedt32 command from start>run. cannot use regedit, it must regedt32 to edit the registry there you should directly went to folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesSpooler find registry value DependOnService if you can't find it create one with REG_MULTI_SZ data type put the event id 7022 value LanmanServer in there and click ok, restart your server, and look again to event viewer, see if the error still exist (additional from before). At that time, I started to develop and issue wherein the start of my Win 7SP1 becomes a two-step process. MOST stuff seems to load immediately from my SSD. Then, about 16 minutes later, a couple of other programs plus the sidebar loads. It's a very consistent 16 minutes. I also don't have access to many system level processes until the later group of programs loads. For example, I can't uninstall programs via Windows Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller. If I click on them, nothing SEEMS to happen. But when that 16 minutes expires, my screens become a riot of exploding opening windows ... if I've gotten click-happy. I 'repaired' this a while ago by running Tweaking.com's Windows Repair AIO. But, it seems to come back after just every Patch Tuesday.
