Disable WMI from being used by whatever external source is probing it, or 2. Uninstall the VMware Tools from the effected VMs, then reload them using

Join Now One of the new Windows 10 Dell Laptops (Precision M6800) is continually getting a WPA Supplicant error on Windows 10 Event ID:256, about what looks like every second. Is this something to worry about? What the heck is it? I tried doing some event id Googling and haven't come up with much. It doesn't seem to be effecting anything. First ESET blocks the site as bad and second when I looked at the site it looks like a crappy malware page that wants to install bloatware on the machine. Now I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but Ive been doing this long enough to know that site doesn't look even close to legit. Have you used this before? Did you pull this out of the dark? Whats up with the site dude? 1 Pure Capsaicin OP Rod-IT Aug 29, 2015 at 8:15 UTC I also use ESET at the moment and it didn't flag it, let me copy you the main gist. wpa_supplicant.exe happens because particular computer files are not replaced correctly when a file conflict happens.
