I have a many research that event id 5805 and 5723 netlogon it would require to re-joined again and also based on the said event error which tells us also to do this re-joining the PC again, But is there any shortcut or another workaround to be able not doing by each PC to manually re-joined them to bring back again the trust relationships. That said, a rough example of a command would look like the following:psexec [\\computerName-or-IP] -u Administrator -p [password] netdom.exe join /d:yourDomain.com /ou:OU=Computers,OU=Department,ND=yourDomain,ND=com(The above should all be on one line - it's just been broken up here on the forum)Cheers,Lain Marked as answer by radical93 Saturday, February 13, 2010 6:00 AM Friday, February 12, 2010 8:34 AM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Take a look at the NETDOM JOIN command. Here's a link you can refer to for an example on how to do it:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc776879(WS.10).aspxIf you have local administrative credentials, you could use something like PSEXEC (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553.aspx) to automate the entire process.Edited: Just to clarify, manually creating an account in Active Directory for a computer won't cause it to automatically join the domain. Someone or something (such as a script) still needs ot perform the join task on the actual c

Solved Event ID 5723 need to remove netlogon entries Posted on 2008-07-07 Active Directory 1 Verified Solution 17 Comments 11,032 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-25 There are 2 machines https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/de5d2ea8-0dca-46c3-a02b-81d0be67bd26/event-id-5723-netlogon?forum=winserverDS on the domain that cause Netlogon errors. The Event IDs are 5805 and 5723. Example is below: 5805: The session setup from the computer 06XP301 failed to authenticate. The following error occurred: Access is denied. 5723: The session setup from computer '06XP301' failed because the security database does not contain a trust account '06XP301$' referenced by the specified computer. The problem is these computers do not exist https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23543536/Event-ID-5723-need-to-remove-netlogon-entries.html in the AD structure. What's more, I can resolve the computer name to an IP address, but cannot reach that address. These computers have been acting this way for 3+months. Question: How can I resolve these Netlogon errors if the computers in question are no long online? Do I need to make a change to the Active Directory? 0 Question by:kennedy2008 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 8 Best Solution byDenverRick Go to your DNS server and delete those host records! Do an ipconfig/flushdns on the DNS server after that. On any machine you are testing you will need to reboot or do an ipconfig/flushdns. TECHNOLOGY IN THIS DISCUSSION Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hi peoples Our Windows 2008 server has a lot of 'NETLOGON' errors in the System logs - these are event id event id 5723. For each error, a few minutes later in the log is a corresponding 5805 error. The 5723 error says: "The session setup from computer xyz failed because the security database does not contain a trust account xyz referenced by the specified computer" and recommends removing and rejoining the computer to the domain. However, we have an awful lot of these errors - 252 in the last 24 hours, on a domain with around 250 event id 5723 desktops, 20 laptops and 30 wireless devices - and while I don't know for certain whether each of these errors refers to different machines (a quick look indicates that they do), I would like to check that removing and rejoining each client machine is the best/only way to proceed? There doesn't seem to be any effect in users' ability to login - that seems ok at the moment. The errors go way back as far as the log goes - to New Year's Day and before. If I filter for just event 5723, there are 27,700 errors between today and 9th December (the earliest date in the log). So you can see this has been happening for some time! Our client machines are a mix of XP and Win7 machines - the errors appear to be happening indiscriminately across all machines. Guest I don't like to post questions about such specific event log errors, but I am getting a large amount of these NETLOGON errors over the past 1-2 months and I am having no luck finding a solution online. Nothing has changed recently, but more and more of the users computers are starting to repeatedly generate these events. Replication monitoring, other diags show nothing. I can ping the computer names in the event - but I can't access them. Do I need to have desktop support visit these servers to remove and re-add them to the domain? Thanks in advance! -Gary Event Type: Error Event Source: NETLOGON Event Category: None Event ID: 5723 Date: 6/30/2003 Time: 5:42:39 PM User: N/A Computer: x1-xx-DNS-xx Description: The session setup from the computer SLS-MARTIEZ1 failed because there is no trust account in the security database for this computer. Gary, Jun 30, 2003 #1 Advertisements Charles McMillan Guest I am guessing you have already used NETDOM to reset the computer account password netdom reset 'machinename' /domain:'domainname Obviously I copied this from a technet article. If you have done this already, have you tried running IPCONFIG /flushdns and IPCONFIG /registerDNS on the workstations and servers?
